Homecoming is coming up, and what’s homecoming at Niles West without a King and Queen?
Seniors Jordyn Glotzer, Sherlina Chauhan, Katherine De Lara, Chi-Chi Osuji, and Veronika Sostaric are the five potential queens this year out of the twelve nominees.
“The seniors were able to vote during their homerooms yesterday to narrow down the five potential queens from the 12 nominees. It was great to see that we even had to narrow it down from 12. That shows how awesome of a senior class we have,” student activities director Katie Odell said.
Nominee Osuji said she was shocked and excited when she found out she was nominated.
“I am excited to run for homecoming queen because I want to try something different for a change,” Osuji said.
The nominees for the King will be announced tomorrow, according to Odell. The Coronation Assembly is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 9.
