For the first time ever, the NWN will be involved in a fantasy baseball league. A six person league that will run until the end of the year. However, we added our own little twist.

Instead of the members drafting their players, we decided to let our league be auto-drafted. The reasoning for this is to prove who actually has the best baseball knowledge. We know that the winner of the league earns the right to be named champion because it’s very hard to just be thrown some players and actually have to work with what you have, instead of picking and choosing before the draft.

When we first thought of the idea, we started drafting and then later realized how much more exciting it would be if players were given to us and we would have to make trades, add/drop players, and set our line-up based on what we had to work with.

Not all members of the league know a ton about baseball, so we thought this would be the most fair way to try to win in the league, and to have fun.

Since there are only six teams in the league, every single team has a bunch of great players, so having talented players in your arsenal isn’t the difficult part. It’s all about playing your cards right and making sure you have what you need at every single position and if you’re lacking something, go and make a trade to fix that area of need.

We will post the results of where each team placed at the end of the year to see who had the best season and the worst season in the first NWN fantasy baseball league.
